Manya: 'It was my dream to buy a house for my parents!'

Manya Singh, who was hailed as the auto drivers’ daughter who won the crown at Femina Miss India 2020, has achieved a milestone and fulfilled the first ever wish she made soon after winning the crown.

The dream and efforts of a 14-year-old have paid off, and she credits her parents for their constant support and belief in her. Amid difficulties in making ends meet, Manya’s father made sure to provide his kids with education; today, the nation lauds the queen for her simplicity and humble bringing.

Working multiple jobs, taking tuition for kids in the slum, completing her education and preparing for the national pageant, Manya sure had her hands full, but she managed to accomplish everything, and she finally fulfilled her dream to buy her parents a home they could call their own!

Expressing her emotions on the joyous moment of her life, Manya said, “My mom used to believe that we would never be able to afford a house in Mumbai, and down the line, we will all have to move back to Uttar Pradesh despite working hard all our life. But it was my dream to buy a house for my parents in their name so that they should feel secure enough to call Mumbai their own city.

My parents gave me the opportunity and worked extremely hard so that I could have a good life in the dream city, and so I wanted to do my part and gift them a house. So now I can’t wait to decorate the new home and make it our sweet paradise.”
